Keltic Star Yachts Inc. View Our Listings Send Email Pedigree Motor Yachts by Keltic Star
Developed from the stalwart hulls designed for offshore service work, Keltic Yachts exude grace and style yet retain the robustness and safety of their Search & Rescue ancestors.
Unlike mass produced yachts, the hand laid up hulls are built in a Lloyd’s approved facility to high commercial / military specifications rather than minimal yacht tolerances and have all been extensively tank tested and design approved by Lloyd’s Register.
The requirement to provide form characteristics to ensure positive stability under all operating conditions, satisfactory sub-division to remain afloat following the flooding of one or more compartments, adequate survivability in extreme conditions, dictate heavier than usual structural components for small vessels.
The generous beam, semi-displacement hull form and fine entry forward, combined with a long deep keel provides legendary sea keeping ability, with a 25% reduction in fuel consumption when compared to an equivalent full displacement boat.
Our hulls are manufactured for us by Aqua Star Ltd., a well established European builder with an enviable award winning reputation. In addition to countless offshore lifeboats and pilot cutters to their credit, there are over two hundred and fifty Aqua Star yachts in service worldwide.
These vessels are not unproven new entries into the marketplace, they come from a stable of well known, well established yachts, built with safety, comfort and endurance in mind.
After shipment by specialized ro/ro vessel across the Atlantic, the hulls are fitted out with machinery and equipment that the discerning North American owner expects and has the assurance that warranty service is but a phone call away and spare parts are readily available at reasonable cost.
The Ken Freivokh interiors are furnished with only the finest of woods, fabrics, leathers and ceramics while again appliances and fittings are of North American manufacture. Rugged reliable twin engine Caterpillar diesel propulsion is installed on all Keltic Star motor yachts and electrical systems are in strict accordance with the American Boat and Yacht Council recommendations.
Commercial Strength Hand Laid Construction

Integral Toe Rails and High Bulwarks for Crew Safety
Underwater Exhausts for Quiet Running
Constructed to cope with the most adverse weather conditions, Keltic Yachts are built to take what the seas dish out, they will safely carry on when others are left in port. |
