General Description

Here is a yacht that will grab your attention on closer inspection. She has just literally finished cruising with her owners that have returned home. This steel 40ft South African built cutter sloop is ready to set sail with her new owners .
This steel cruising yacht has many features the will be very attractive. The first is price as she is priced to sell. The second is the presentation together with the current owners good care of inventory which will see a cruising couple or family very comfortable in this robust vessel.

When first approaching this cutter rigged sloop she looks like the common world cruiser found in ports all over the world but on closer inspection many great features will be uncovered and on inspection down below there is a pleasant surprise installed .

This steel cruiser has classic lines and the cutter rig and bow sprit giver her fine classic looks in addition to a great place to tack the cruising spinnaker or as a forward look out . Moving aft there is plenty of deck space and wonderful large teak and plexi glass hatches for great ventilation and natural light down below. Insulation is good as on entry to the closed vessel it was found to be much cooler that one would expect .The mast is stepped for those who would like to complete rig checks easily or get a birds eye view of what lays ahead . The huge cock-pit is set up for all weather . The hard dodger will provide a good place to hide in the rough weather and the soft bimni is equally adequate to cover the great cockpit . Roll down the sides for extra protection or roll down the handy boom tent when at anchor . All cruising boats in the tropics should have a boom tent as mandatory equipment . Then the other great area is the bob-kin which is a diving platform / fishing deck /bbq area /shower or sunbathing platform . Its out of the way and out of the cockpit so it really frees up even more space for daily cruising comfort. Above this is a targa arch with 2 x 75 Watt solar panels.

Upon entering down below the nice surprise is an open and well ventilated area with a good feel. The L shaped galley is fully equipped with high quality cruising utensils necessary for cruising . This galley is set slight higher than the full beam saloon which is tastefully upholstered and set out. Above the saloon is a large double hatch. A great area and is a big features of this yacht . The forward berth is a double or 2 singles and the shower and head is a good area that is not cramped. Head room is fantastic throughout. The nav station is also well set out with VHF , GPS with PC interface , radar and HF. The electrical switch panel is also located in this area. Aft are two double berths that are equally well lit and ventilated. Storage is in abundance on this vessel and on initial inspection of the bilges an super structure there is no rust or corrosion visible with most areas looking well protected with marine coatings . This would suggest that the vessel has been well care for and on inspection it is easy to see that this steel cutter has indeed had very good owners .
