Accommodations/Vessel Walkthrough

"Maligaya" sleeps 6 in three private staterooms. There is also room for 2 people to sleep in the salon. The master stateroom is aft and is equipped with queen-sized berth, a head and shower. There are two guest cabins forward with a large shared head, vanity, washbasin and shower. There is teak and holly sole and sound and temperature adsorbing headliners with teak battens throughout. Eleven attractive overhead fluorescent fixtures of German manufacture provide ample lighting. These high efficiency units have half the power draw of comparable output fixtures and produce no radio interference. Individual fluorescent fixtures in the berths and the salon supplement lighting.

The forward cabin has a centerline queen berth, a seat, and full-length mirror. Ample storage is provided by a hanging locker, 6 shelved bulkhead lockers, and 6 large drawers at the foot of the berth. Additional storage compartments are under the mattress. A large Lewmar 24" x 24" sail hatch with a bulkhead ladder provides easy access to the foredeck. A second cabin door provides direct access to the forward head. Berths have individual reading lights and the hatch, 2 large Dorade deck vents, and a silent 12 v. fan supply ventilation. A 12,000 BTU reverse cycle HVAC unit supplies air-conditioning and heating.
Aft to port is a stateroom with 2 bunk berths, corner seat, hanging locker, and bulkhead storage lockers and drawers. Upper berth recesses to provide cabin comfort when not in use. Light and a Lewmar hatch, individual reading lights, and 12-v. fan, provides ventilation. The shared forward Marine Air 12,000 BTU HVAC unit provides air conditioning and heating.
Opposite this cabin to starboard is the large shared forward head with: shower, teak grate, two medicine cabinets, large sink, vanity, linen locker, under sink storage, Groco head, and teak fold down shower seat. Ventilation is again provided by a Lewmar hatch and a 12 v. fan.
Next, aft to port is the galley which is unusually large and bright. A full size all 316 stainless four burner LP stove with oven, stainless sink and side board, and bulkhead drawers and microwave comprise an efficient comfortable food preparation area. A large fold up teak table athwart the companionway facilitates large meal preparation. Storage consists of 3 large 3 shelf etched glass custom teak cabinets, bulkhead lockers, and silverware and utensil drawers, spice racks, over sink teak shelves, fan, extractor, large under sink locker, and shelves under the sink sideboard.
Opposite the galley to starboard is the large full height (7') teak faced refer freezer module. On the bulkhead are dish shelves, and a food storage locker. On the forward bulkhead is three teak bar bottle racks with 24-bottle capacity.
There is a step up into the salon where a continuous 270o wraparound window of molded tempered glass offers a spectacular panoramic view. This is truly one of the unique highlights of this unusual design. There is an L shaped settee to port and large U shaped settee to starboard to accommodate a crowd for dining or conversation. The TV, AM/FM, Tape Deck, and CD stereo system are in teak cabinets on the port bulkhead. Custom tan leather upholstery provides a rich and elegant feeling. Two hatches and two Dorade vents provide the salon and galley with excellent ventilation. A 12,000 BTU HVAC unit provides heating and cooling. There is cabinet and locker storage on all bulkhead surfaces and behind and under all seats.
The efficient combination navigation and steering station is to port. The teak chart table, instrumentation and electronics console provides chart and drawer storage. On the bulkhead are the AC and DC main panels, SSB, VHF, and autopilot controls. The 270-degree view from the wrap around window provides excellent visibility when steering by autopilot from the nav. station.

There is a step down from the nav. station to the door leading into the master stateroom. Immediately aft on the port bulkhead are a large chest of drawers, vanity and shelves. Above this is a small Lewmar hatch. Further aft on port is a queen-sized berth. On the berth center cockpit bulkhead are two frosted glass ports, which provide excellent light and ventilation. The berth has individual reading lights, and a silent 12-v. fan. Heating and cooling from a 9,000 BTU HVAC unit. Midship is a second large Lewmar hatch, which opens onto the bridge deck. Midship on the forward bulkhead is a large teak four-shelf locker. To starboard is an L shaped settee mirror, hanging locker, and the head. The head has a shower with teak fold down seat, and a teak grate. The head is a Groco ceramic unit. There is a sink with a large medicine cabinet, and make up mirror. There is under sink shelf storage, and bulkhead linen storage. A Lewmar hatch, and 12-v. fan again provide ventilation. AC and heating are from a 9,000 BTU Marine Air HVAC unit.
