General Description

The Cavalier 46 was designed by Team NZ America s Cup designer Laurie Davidson and built by Export Yachts in NZ to be a fast yet comfortable blue water cruiser. Designed and built to easily handle the waters of Australia and New Zealand she is fully equipped for living aboard and cruising in style. The current owners of â��Freedom' have done over 35,000nm on board and thus the boat is well set up and adapted for long range sailing.
The well protected and dry centre cockpit offers very easy and safe operation of both sails whilst allowing for maximum volume in the aft owners cabin which sports a queen size berth with en suite. Further accommodation can be found up the pointy end with a double V berth and twin bunks located just aft on the port side in a separate cabin. The U shaped galley is situated next to the companionway to port and is designed with practicality in a heavy sea. The main saloon is spacious with full length settee's on both sides which could be used as sea berths, and a beautiful fold out teak table in the centre suitable for 4 people to eat at comfortably. The drive engine is a Nanni (Mercdes) diesel which hasn't missed a beat in her proven track record and will continue to serve the boat well for years to come.

After a major re-fit in 2005 including new teak decks, complete topsides, cockpit and mast paint job in Awlgrip , she presents in excellent shape and is ready for her new owners.
